Book Review

I decided to open this topic mainly for a couple of reasons: 1) I like books, 'nuff said; 2) I've been reading and wanted to share some of them with you; 3) uhh, well, I didn't get that far. xP
So anyways, this is the first time that I will be reviewing a book so apologies if it's not consistent and not very accurate.
So here it is:
I currently got my hands on a book that :Kitsune-Sama: suggested to me over a chat on msn awhile back. It's called the House of Night series and so far I've read the first book called Marked. Here is a brief summary of what the first book is all about/what's written on the back of the book (xD):
When sixteen-year-old Zoey is marked by the Tracker, she knows her old life is over. Now she has to leave her friends and family to join the House of Night school where there's only one subject Zoey needs to study: Vampyre 101. Of course, there's always a catch, and this one's nice and simple: if you fail, you die...
What can i say, hmm: it's about vampires or 'vampyres' so that's a tick in my books, and not only that, it's a vampire finishing school, another tick. There ware a few grammatical errors but it was easy to over look since I was completely hooked. The series is considered to be in the Young Adult category so expect some talk about typical teenage behaviour such as trying to fit in a new place, pushy blonde bitches and blowjobs. Not that I mind since I know what they're talking about and can easily relate. In my opinion, this book, and hopefully the rest of its series, is definitely a good read for those who are looking for new titles to check out.

While slightly off topic, I could recommend another book that I like because of my friend...
Battle Royale...
Holy... Freaking... Epic...

Basically a bunch of kids are put on an island, given weapons, and told to kill each other... A bit morbid, but worth the read...

I think I'm currently reading The Vampire Lestat, so I'll see what you mean when I'm finished ^.^
Haha, exactly! Twilight basically promotes stalking. Now all little girls have the idea that the love of her life is going to either be a werewolf or a vampire that has nothing better to do than to follow her around and complain about not eating them >.>
About Nightwatch - that's what she's told me. I'll have to check out some books when I head to the city tomorrow and see what's all out there these days. ^.^

Twilight is just a story about a girls decision between Beastiality and Necrophillia >.>

No. She is someone who read fanfictions on books like the Anne Rice and other vampire stories. Then though "Oh this is a fantastic idea, it is so original, I will write a book on it! *drooldroolenterretatedwindowlickingnoisehere*"
¬.¬ Yeah... She has the writting ability of people such as the ones that wrote "My Immortal."

Apparently all her ideas came from a dream - you know, the part of the book/movie that had them laying in the meadow while he's sparkling like a freakin' idiot.
You'd be amazed at all the kids in my school who are -obsessed- with Twilight. Like, they have posters and magnets in their lockers, and when I walk past them they're talking about Twilight. Seriously, somebody shoot them before they attempt to breed. >.>
So you mean no ability to write at all? >.> I've never heard of "My Immortal" xD

And yeah... I had a dream where I kissed sparkly vampires but I'm not going to make it into a book ¬.¬ All she's done is taken a fantasy of most girls and turned it into a book. A very bad one at that >.>

Eh, but it's done exactly what she wanted it to. I can't even walk through Wal-mart without seeing freaking Twilight hats or shirts or underwear or pants or bras or whatever. It's completely ridiculous and I wish the craze would end already ><
Anywho, I went to that site.. I didn't have the guts to go read any part of it, lol. I think my IQ has dropped enough for today xD Sadly, Twilight can't be said it's a parody to anything =/ It's more like a friggen' nightmare >.>
